Grandma Stella muses on an innovative Danish initiative that simultaneously addresses homelessness and environmental waste, pondering if a similar approach could be adopted locally.

In Denmark, they have found a way to help the needy and clean up the environment at the same time. Instead of cluttering the waterways and other places with plastic and aluminum containers, they leave these articles in special areas where the homeless can pick them and cash them. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful thing to do here? If we would all consciously concentrate on doing that, we would help alleviate some of the causes of homelessness and waste. What would you think?
